MEET THE MUSICIAN

AJ Williams (born May 6, 1989), better known by his stage name AJ THE MUSICIAN, is a Hip Hop/R&B artist and songwriter. Born in Louisiana, AJ spent most his childhood throughout various parts of the US, -- due to his father's military career -- mostly spent in Pensacola, Florida, where he currently resides. Nurtured by a family full of talented singers, rappers and musicians, performing and entertainment has always been in his blood. He started singing at an early age when his mother placed him in youth church choir.

By the time he was a teen, he had already written an entire book of original songs. A self taught and very skilled guitar player, he participated in many different music groups in high school, such as Orchestra, Symphonic Band, and Choir. He started rapping around his early teenage years but became serious about his craft around the age of 18 after developing a huge love & influence toward hip-hop. In 2013, AJ released his first EP "It Is What It Is" in 2013.

The personal songwriting and storytelling connected well with his audience, received great reviews, and prompted his first headline concert at THE VINYL Music Hall in his hometown shortly after the EP's release. Since then, he continued to perform on the road, opening up for Usher, Trey Songz, Keyshia Cole, 2 Chainz, Juvenile and more.
